Todays post is: What do you eat before you workout?
For me, it depends on when I am working out. Today, we just happened to be going to the gym after we had breakfast, so breakfast was what I had.
If I have spinning at 5:30 or 6 I will try to have a snack around 4ish. Sometimes I don’t actually have breakfast/lunch until 2, so it makes the timing of food a bit tricky. Since I’ve been low on money (and subsequently food) a quick snack is usually a half a piece of toast or a protein shake depending on how hungry I’m feeling. I definitely need to come up with a better pre-workout snack that has a good carb/protein ratio. If only I could find sunflower butter in Glasgow, it would go good on a rice cake/half piece of toast/apple (if I peel it).
