I haven’t had the best 48 hours. First the ovarian cyst pain this weekend, and then a lovely case of cystitis starting last night; it hasn’t been much fun being me. I didn’t sleep well at all, and ended up getting up before 8 (who am I?) and went to the GP. I had to wait over an hour to be seen, but I have antibiotics, pain meds, and a new mini-pill prescription and a hope that this one will help.
One good thing that came out of the appointment was that I am finally getting a referral to a pain management centre for the headaches. Horray!
For the rest of the day I’m resting, reading, blogging, and getting some work done.
In an unrelated note, I can’t believe the comments I’ve been reading saying that teachers are to blame for school closings in the UK. Clearly THEY are the ones who make that call. *eyeroll* It’s about safety. Safety for kids and teachers and school staff. Here in the UK I am certain that the kind of snow removal isn’t the same as it is in Boston. And even when there is snow, they have to weigh the pros and cons in regards to safety. Ever since there was a huge storm that started mid-day that caused delays up to 9 hours in kids getting home on buses, (not to mention people commuting!) they have been more careful, so I’m not shocked that they are taking care in the UK with snow safety.
I hope tomorrow I am back to normal and can get to spinning class!
