Weekly workout wrapup

Sadly, because I was recovering from being sick, I only have 2 workouts in this week. Yesterday was a NROLFM (lifting) day.

  • Barbell Squat:
    • 20 kg x 10 reps
    • 30 kg x 12 reps (twice)
  • Seated Cable Row:
    • 32 kg x 12 reps (twice)
    • 39 kg x 12 reps
  • Incline Push-Up:
    • 8 reps (+3 pts)
    • 12 reps (+4 pts) (twice)
  • Dumbbell Step Ups:
    • 5 kg x 15 reps  (thrice)
  • Prone jacknife:
    • 15 reps (thrice)

The workout went fine, if a bit slow at times.  I had a really hard time staying present.  I hate the fact that there are mirrors everywhere.  I hate looking at myself.  I feel very self conscious about how I look, and while I know not everyone is looking at me, I’ve seen the smirks on people’s faces.  I know I need to get past this, but it’s a hard one.

When I got up this morning, my quads were on fire! Ow!!!!  So today I went to the gym, did a bit of warm up cardio on the treadmill and then took a 45 minute yoga class.  I was hoping that the yoga would help lessen the aching, but not really.  I took a really hot bath when I got home and that did help a little, but I’m still pretty sore.  I hope tomorrow my legs are back to normal.

Now that I am feeling better I am starving all the time.
