New week

It’s a new week.  So far it’s off to a far better start than last week.  I’m fully recovered from being ill and was able to get my workout in.  I did have a hard time sleeping last night though; I had an awful panic attack before I fell bed and it took me until about 4 or so to finally fall asleep.  🙁

I ended up sleeping in a bit extra today so I would have the energy to workout.  It was a good thing too!  Today’s workout was hard!

  • Barbell Deadlift:
    • 30 kg x 10 reps
    • 40 kg x 6 reps
    • 55 kg x 10 reps (thrice)
      (The 55’s were hard- need to remember gloves!)
  • Standing Dumbbell Shoulder Press:
    • 6 kg x 10 reps (+67 pts)
    • 8 kg x 10 reps (+71 pts)
    • 8 kg x 10 reps (+71 pts)
  • Lat Pulldown:
    • 36.6 kg x 10 reps
    • 32 kg x 10 reps
    • 34.3 kg x 10 reps
  • Dumbbell Lunges:
    • 6 kg x 12 reps
    • 6 kg x 12 reps   (I seriously suck at lunges.)
  • Weighted Exercise Ball Crunch:
    • 10 kg x 10 reps (thrice)

After working out I came back and had a late lunch, and I’m already starving again.  It feels so counterproductive to be so hungry, but I am not going to starve myself/be hungry and miserable all the time the way I was when I lost 85 pounds a decade + ago.  It is really not worth it to be hungry/tired/cranky all the time.

Since I only got 3/11 things done on my to do list today, I need to get on it tomorrow.  I think I will be heading to the office after having Pancake day breakfast in the morning.
