Double workout Thursday

I generally don’t like to double up my workouts anymore.  I try to alternate NROLFW and spinning (or other cardio).  However, sometimes the universe isn’t partial to such plans.

Monday was a lifting day, which was fine.  Tuesday would have been a spinning day, but I wasn’t able to book into a class, so I went to the office and took a walk.  Yesterday I was supposed to lift, but ended up doing errands/hanging out with friends and by the time I got home I wasn’t in the mood to go back out in the rain to the gym.

So today, I planned to go to the gym at about 4 and do the lifting I was planning on, take a break and then go to spinning class.  At about 2ish I was bored and antsy and decided to go to the gym early so I wouldn’t either eat random snacks or nap.  I did my lifting and then used the Spin Plus app on my iPhone to get my spin on.

  • Barbell Squat:
    • 20 kg x 10 reps
    • 30 kg x 10 reps
    • 40 kg x 10 reps (thrice)
  • Seated Cable Row:
    • 39 kg x 12 reps (thrice)
  • Incline Push-Up:
    • 10 reps (thrice)
  • Dumbbell Step Ups:
    • 5 kg x 10 reps || 30 cm (thrice)
  • Prone Jacknife:
    • 10 reps (thrice)
  • Spinning:
    • 0:32:00 || 17 km

When I got home I had a protein shake.  Yum.  I love the latte flavour!

I am pleasantly tired now, and am waiting for the chicken to finish cooking, which I’m having with a salad.  (The sweet potatoes at Tesco looked sketchy, sadly 🙁 )

I may make these later on this evening if I have the motivation and energy.  They are just what I’ve been looking for; a recipe that I don’t need to modify due to food allergies!
