Day 6 of “Paleo” or otherwise known as Saturday

Once my headache finally subsided last night, I got the bright (?) idea to rearrange my bedroom furniture.  At midnight.  So I did.  I moved everything around and vacuumed as well.  I am one of those people now.

Today I got up and realized I had forgotten to make coffee for today. Fail.  I cleaned up the living room and bathroom, since the flat was getting a bit messy.  I vacuumed and wiped down the floors.  I need to wash windows and things like that, but that can be done another day.

After, I headed into Buchanan to meet Steph and Kirsty.  I had coffee, of course.

Since the Grand National today, Kirsty had the idea of putting 50p each on a horse and split any winnings.  So we did, and 2 of the horses came in so we each won £3.50!  Horray!

We walked around St. Enoch and the shopping area there for a while before it was time to head back in time for Doctor Who.  I wish I had taken a few minutes to take some pictures, because it was sunny (!) and the walkway along the river was really nice.

After Doctor Who we had a roast chicken dinner.  I was STARVING considering I walked over 8km today.  I also had grapes and Fage yogurt when I walked in the door.  So. Hungry.

Right now I am so tired and I could fall asleep.  I need to try to sleep well tonight, but not for too long.  I want to get up earlyish, so that I am tired early enough tomorrow since I need to be up at 6:30 Monday morning.  That’s going to suck.

So, how am I feeling after a week of “Paleo?”

Other than the headache, which is never-ending, I feel fine.  A little more tired than usual, but fine.  I haven’t really had any cravings- other than a random craving of waffles late one night.  It was frustrating today while out and wanting a snack. I am really picky and don’t like a lot of portable fruit, since it makes my lip swell- especially apples.  I think I am going to have to suck it up and eat them when I am out and need to eat so I don’t run out of energy, get cranky, and make my headache worse.

This will be my big challenge on Monday.  The food being provided is not remotely Paleo, so I will bring my own snacks, but lunch will be tricky, since I won’t be in my building for the morning to drop off my lunch in the fridge.  I might drop off some food tomorrow so it’s there.  Otherwise I will be eating lots of fruit and I may have to bend my rules and have a 9 Bar so I’m not starving all day.

I should be productive while I’m still awake enough to.
