June- the good and the bad

Finally, a proper post!  I’ve been pretty down lately; PMT + end of June blues (every end of June I get depressed- it being the anniversary of my shittiest week ever and of course I have to mentally relive it every year because I can’t leave the past in the past . . . another year single and alone, nearly a decade now.  9 years single.  I can’t believe I’ve wasted 9 years.)

Anyways, back to the point here.  This has been a pretty crazy month.  I’ve been busy with work, working out, and doing lots of things- some good and some not so good.

The Good

Technology/fitness: Garmin Forerunner 110.
I still need to work out (ha!) how all the functions work, but it is so cool that I can see maps of where I’ve run!

Fitness/fashion: Saucony Women’s Guide 6 trainers.
They seriously have made a huge difference in my running.  Finally being fitted for trainers after a decade of on and off running was a really great decision!

Fitness/best decision  of the month: Joining the new gym.
I’m working out more, mainly due to the allure of the 3 jacuzzis waiting for me at the end of my workout!

Song I’m loving: Lily Allen’s The Fear (I’m only a few years late to the party LOL!)

Blog posts read:  This one right here from Stephen Fry.  Right in the feels.

Flat failures: the fan that blew out over the stove & the washing machine that keeps having issues
It’s so annoying.  Whenever we cook, we have to open windows for air circulation.  And the stupid washing machine is such a PITA  we have to hang everything up to dry now. (Yes, I know it is better for the environment, but this means we have laundry all over the kitchen which is annoying.)

The weather:
I mean, I wore a hoodie to bed last night!  It’s the end of bloody June.  Please send sunshine!

This was today. Seriously.

This was today. Seriously.

Family stuff:
It’s really, really hard to be so far away and be able to do so little.  🙁

Not getting enough work done:  Enough said right there.

How was your June?

Hey, congrats on big wins this month!
I am 5 1/2 years single, it is really them not us, trust me. They are so not interesting. Ditto with Stephen Fry, good about trainers and garmin.
Can’t comment on family, but I reckon not a single one of us has got enough work done this month, I promise (says she after ‘some’ wine). Will any #juneathon-er disagree?
My June was er mixed. I feel like a f-up but we are all still here, so we should celebrate that.
p.s. nothing odd about wearing a hoodie to bed. 🙂
On to the next one, but with a big hug.

I’d say it was them in regards to me being single, but it’s not. I haven’t even tried; I’ve spent the past 9 years sulking. 🙁
